STCW Advanced Fire Fighting

About the course

Who should attend This course is part of the training for deck and engineering officers who wish to qualify for a Certificate of Competency, and crew who are designated to control fire fighting operations. Those seafarers wishing to renew their Advanced Fire Fighting certificate of proficiency but do not have sufficient sea service to meet the criteria for the Refresher course (attendance of the AFF course will include refresher FPFF). Pre-requisite: STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention Course highlights This course covers fire fighting procedures at sea and in port with particular emphasis on organisation, tactics and effective command including liaison with shore-based firefighters. The course meets the requirements for STCW Section A-VI/3. DurationFive days 8.30am - 4pm
