About the course

Who should attend This course is for people who are responsible for liquor sale and supply in a licenced premise and includes both the theory and assessment needed to obtain your Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ). By law, every hospitality business that sells alcohol must have a properly qualified person (with an LCQ) in charge at all times. You will need to complete this course and obtain your LCQ before you apply for the General Manager Certificate from Auckland Council or your local District Licencing Committee DLC. Course highlights This is a theory-based unit standard course to help you gain your Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ). You will be provided with learning material to learn about: The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licenced premises Management of alcohol and intoxication in licenced premises as a duty manager The responsibilities and requirements for alcohol service in licenced premises as a duty manager The maintenance of a safe drinking environment as a duty manager. Participants must be able to demonstrate competence in written English to successfully complete the assessment for this course. DurationTwo days 9am-4pm
