Have you achieved your New Zealand Certificate in Cranes (level 3) and now want to progress to the next level?
Become an expert in slinging complex loads, planning and documenting regular and irregular lifts, and be able to self-manage during sole crane operations. Choose a strand to cover a complex specialist crane area to complete the programme. This programme is designed to be completed in the workplace.
What you will learn:
You will learn how to:
- Take responsibility for sole charge jobs, and interpret and utilise documentation to support organisational compliance, and health and safety objectives.
- Plan and document lifts of regular and irregular loads, using knowledge of cranes and equipment, hazards, and risk mitigation practices in the cranes industry.
- In your specialist area learn how to prepare for crane operations and operate the crane safely to lift and place regular and irregular loads.
- If you choose the Advanced Dogman strand you will learn how to prepare and sling complex loads.
How will you learn:
You’ll learn on the job in your workplace. You will also have an EarnLearn-Te Pūkenga registered assessor who will visit you to provide further training and assess you in the required outcomes.
