About the course
Get on board a tourism industry career
Upon completion of this diploma you’ll be able to assist in the delivery of a quality visitor experience in a tour group company, a travel agency or within many other areas of the tourism industry. You’ll also be well prepared for further, higher level study in tourism-related programmes.
The programme includes an overnight study tour, work experience and the theoretical knowledge required for a bar manager’s certificate.
Outline
The programme consists of eight courses which will develop your skills to:
- Apply effective corporate communication skills to support the visitor experience.
- Manage workplace practices.
- Develop, analyse and critique tourism business systems and processes.
- Analyse and evaluate tourism operating environments.
Upon graduating you will be able to support and enhance the visitor experience and uphold the importance of tourism to the New Zealand economy.
