About the course

Now’s your chance to become a hair stylist. Learn the skills to get started in a salon in this hands-on, one-year course. You learn how to perform beginning styling tasks like blow-drying, moulding, setting, and long hair-ups. You also learn how to mix, apply and remove colours. Looking after customers is also part of this course. You learn how to carry out reception duties and provide limited client consultation. It all takes place at our professional training salon where you get to work with real clients. This introductory course gets you started along your career pathway. On completion you might decide to seek an apprenticeship, or continue with further study on our Level 4 course.
