About the course

What this course offers and how you will benefit

This innovative self-paced learning experience for educators will develop your knowledge, awareness, and capability to confidently apply digital tools in the classroom. Learn collaborative approaches and develop a growth mindset to teaching and learning to apply in your professional practice.

This Level 8 NZQA accredited (15 credits) micro-credential supports the development of practical skills and knowledge in contemporary education. Throughout the programme you’ll focus on innovative and impactful pedagogies, the positive impact digital tools can have on teaching, new collaborative approaches to learning, and helping learners to develop digital skills and the ability to adapt to changing contexts.

"I had a lightbulb moment that’s now made learning work for all my students, even those with shorter attention spans. I’m creating videos with all the (boring!) info to watch before class. Then they come armed with questions. It’s fast tracking our experience and their thinking because they're using digital as their springboard!" - Claire Funk, September 2021 intake

  • Develop an ability to critically reflect on contemporary pedagogies and digital and collaborative learning in educational contexts
  • Collaborative teaching and learning practices to implement in your educational context
