About the course
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the pulp and paper industry with individuals who have the advanced skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate plant and equipment used in pulp and paper manufacturing without supervision under broad guidance. The qualification is stranded to recognise the specialist skills and knowledge required to work in key areas of the pulp and paper industry.
Graduates will understand the science and technology behind manufacturing processes used to make pulp and paper. They will be able to:
- apply knowledge of processes to make improvements in productivity and quality
- safely and efficiently control plant and equipment in their specialist area.
