About the course
The Communication English course is a 20-hour per week full-time course designed to provide comprehensive training and development in English language skills, including speaking, writing, listening and reading.
The course covers all aspects of the language, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and aims to enhance the proficiency of the learners, involving various activities, exercises, and assessments to evaluate their progress. The curriculum is designed by language experts and trainers and is constantly updated to cater to the changing needs of the learners. The course is suitable for individuals who wish to improve their English language skills for academic, professional, or personal purposes.

About the provider
Auckland English Academy (AEA) is an NZQA Category 1 accredited education provider under the umbrella of ICL Education Group, situated in the heart of the Auckland CBD, and is one of New Zealand’s oldest language schools, established in 1988.
AEA offers Communication English courses for students who want to improve their English language level for different reasons, such as travelling, working in an English-speaking country, preparing to progress to an academic course, communicating better with friends, etc. Classes are run in daytime and evenings and offer students from all over the world classes tailored to their needs, particularly through an individual learning plan.
AEA also offers Examination Preparation courses such as IELTS academic and the PTE Academic, and has for a long time been the largest IELTS preparation course provider in New Zealand. This is manifest in the large number of students who have achieved the scores they aimed for, paving the way for them to continue to pursue other life endeavours.
A popular pathway is to progress to diplomas and master’s degrees offered by ICL after completing IELTS, PTE and NZCEL (New Zealand Certificate of English Language).
