About the course

Our practical, hands-on training will give you the knowledge and the skills you need to start your career in this lucrative, booming sector. You’ll graduate with hard skills equivalent to a first year apprentice, plus we’ll give your numeracy and literacy skills a big boost.
This course is a mix of campus-based study and *self-directed learning (on-site hours vary from 20 hours per week and 16 hours of self-directed learning in your own time per week).
Entry requirements
- Applicants must have completed a Level 2 NZQF qualification or equivalent or meet the minimum requirements of the NZMA Level 3 Placement Test
- Domestic applicants with English as a second language must demonstrate sufficiency in the English language at an interview.
- Applicants must be physically able to complete the practical aspects for working at heights and in confined spaces safely according to regulatory requirements.
