Health & Fitness Personal Trainer (Part-time)
NZQF Level 4

About the course

This part-time course will give the flexibility to continue working while you study all the fundamentals of being a personal trainer.

You’ll learn how to develop your own custom-made fitness programmes to road test on real clients of your own, as well as how to run your own gym or personal training business. Plus you will learn about fitness, health, how the body works and the latest in sports nutrition.

Our course also includes a free Jetts membership for the duration of your programme.*

This course is available full-time, part-time or online**.

*Currently applicable to students studying in Auckland only.

**Online course is subject to NZQA approval.

This course is delivered by the New Zealand Institute of Sport – NZMA's Sport & Fitness School.

Entry requirements

  • Recommended age of 20 years and older.*
  • A demonstrated commitment to the Sport, Fitness, and Recreation areas.
  • Relevant experience in the Fitness and Recreation Industry is preferred.
