About the course

If you love flowers and design and want to learn how to create stunning floral displays for your home or business, then this introductory course is for you.

Learn the basics of floral design, with practical hands-on training. Then learn about the business aspect of running a florist, before taking on a week’s work experience in the industry.

The skills you learn in this course, will give you the foundation you need to launch your floristry career or take your hobby to an entirely new level.

This course is taught through a combination of online learning, practical experience and face to face teaching on campus.

Entry requirements

  • Applicants must be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Applicants need to be 16 years or older
  • Applicants with English as a Second Language must demonstrate sufficiency in the English language at an interview.
