About the course
Help protect Aotearoa, New Zealand, and earn while you learn! We have one of the most unique flora and fauna in the world, but sadly other animals continue to threaten it's existence. We all have a job to help protect what has always been a sacred taonga (treasure), so why not enter the world of conservation and be the kaitiaki (guardian) for nature. This one-year part-time course is perfect for people who are already working in the industry or want to enter it. We have organisations that need learners to work as employees while studying. They're offering fixed-term work contracts to the correct applicants. This course covers everything from:
operating vehicles in a rural setting identifying and monitoring threats communicating, reporting and recording information in the workplace carrying out safe operations
During your study you'll be supported by a facilitator who will give you access to a range of resources including:
online support face-to-face block courses being available to answer any queries you may have
All while gaining hands-on experience. You'll earn a wage and learn ways to help our native flora and fauna continue to grow. If you like the idea of working in our beautiful natural surroundings, come and join a fast-growing industry. An industry that will continue to support and balance the unique biodiversity in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
