About the course

Diploma in Visual Arts graduates will have had one year of experience and appreciation of some basic principles of art and design and will demonstrate aspects of Creativity - Toi; Virtuosity - Mohio; Understanding - Matauranga; Connectedness - Whanaungatanga. They will demonstrate an introductory understanding of the discourse of art and design (Matauranga); be intellectually curious and adaptable, willing to embrace new ideas into visual and material outcomes (Mohio); source and utilise information in a variety of forms and contexts (Matauranga).
