Overview

Do you want an intro to cooking and hospitality?
Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Work safely, effectively and hygienically in a commercial kitchen or whārekai environment.
- Prepare, cook and present a basic range of kai and describe different methods of cooking.
- Perform basic front of house tasks, table service and beverage services.
- Provide effective customer service from manaaki kaupapa.
- Work and problem solve as a team – he rau ringa e oti ai.
This qualification can lead on to the New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (Level 3), or the New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage Service (Level 3).
