About the course
This micro-credential is designed for individuals who have left secondary school and are interested in working in the commercial road transport industry. From vehicle systems and documentation, through to driver roles and customer service, you’ll gain the foundation knowledge required to gain an effective introduction to the industry or explore a potential career pathway. Smaller than a qualification, micro-credentials certify achievement of a specific set of skills and knowledge and are approved by NZQA. You will complete unit standards online via eLearning, and will have access to videos, learning activities and course assessments, which can be easily accessed at any time and from any device – mobile phone, tablet or PC.Programme OutlineLearning outcomes include:
Demonstrate knowledge of the commercial road transport industry Demonstrate knowledge of motor vehicle documentation and primary systems of a vehicle Describe consignment documentation used in the commercial road transport industry Describe driver roles and responsibilities for the transportation of goods by road Demonstrate knowledge of driver professionalism and positive customer service in the road transport industry.
