About the course
LEARN HOW TO
• Integrate health and safety procedures into workplace practice when carrying out work on traction line networks.
• Apply knowledge of codes of practice, industry standards and operating procedures, and comply with asset-owner requirements when installing, maintaining or repairing traction line networks.
HOW IT WORKS
This programme will take around 21 months to complete.
Achievement of this programme is through on-job
assessment, or through Recognition of Current Competence
(RCC). If you have 3 to 5 years of experience working in the
industry, and can provide a portfolio of evidence, then RCC
could be an option for you as it recognises your prior skills;
allowing you to get qualified within a shorter timeframe.
Entry requirements
To be enrolled in this programme, you must be employed in the electricity supply industry. It is also recommended that you achieve the New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Introductory) (Level 2) or provide equivalent knowledge and experience.
