About the course
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the solid wood manufacturing industry with people who have the skills and knowledge required to work as advanced operators in a sawmilling operation. Graduates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment used in sawmilling without supervision. Graduates will also be responsible for the maintenance of plant and equipment and will be capable of troubleshooting and making decisions to maintain productivity.
