About the course
Calling aspiring creatives, innovators, artists, animators, content creators, movie-makers and photo-takers.
The New Zealand Certificate in Digital Media and Design (Level 4) will help you develop the foundational knowledge and skills you need to use current digital technology to express yourself and impress future clients.
In the first three courses, you’ll spend time in our virtual design house, Aronga Whanokē Design, where you’ll use design briefs to create a variety of works that incorporate photography, illustration, video, animation, and other elements. In the final course, you’ll explore their own identity and culture through digital design.
You’ll use a variety of tools and technologies, including the Adobe suite, to explore your creative interests, build a portfolio, and add to your digital toolkit as you design and create digital media with the ‘wow’ factor.
You’ll develop your understanding of many aspects of digital design, including design principles, design elements, animation, photography, HTML design elements, creating an engaging user interface experience, developing effective content, digital citizenship, symbols, motif, and mark-making.
