About the course

Are you a qualified mechanical engineer looking to take the next step in your career? UCOL's New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Level 5 provides the technical and operational skills required for higher roles in mechanical engineering.

The UCOL New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Level 5 programme is designed for people who have already completed a mechanical engineering-related Level 4 qualification and wish to further develop their technical and/or operational knowledge and skills within their chosen discipline of mechanical engineering, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, refrigeration and air conditioning, and mechanical building services.

This programme uses blended delivery – combining in person, online, and in-work learning. You will carry out all the practical work required for the self-directed learning aspects of this programme at your place of work, with lectures visiting and assisting you regularly.

By completing this programme, you will be able to work independently as an advanced mechanical engineer or in a team leader or supervisor role in your chosen discipline.

Or, you can continue your studies by enrolling on New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Level 6)
