Further enhance Te Reo Māori skills with this total immersion programme
This qualification, Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Rumaki) (Te Kaupae 5) New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Immersion) (Level 5), is intended for people who would feel confident within a total immersion Te Reo Māori environment . This programme is for those wanting to contribute positively to the development of te reo, or those with a personal and/or professional interest in te reo Māori.
As a graduate of this programme you will be able to communicate independently in te reo and express ideas and theories in a wide range of familiar and some less familiar situations with fluency and flexibility. In addition to the acquisition of the language, you will have developed technical knowledge in te reo.
Successful graduates of Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Rumaki) (Te Kaupae 5) New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Immersion) (Level 5) will have the skills and knowledge to participate in the maintenance and development of te reo amongst whānau, hapū, iwi, and community. Those who wish to further specialise in Te Reo can study Te Pōkairua Reo (Rumaki) (Te Kaupae 5) New Zealand Diploma in Te Reo (Immersion) (Level 5) or Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Rumaki) (Te Kaupae 6) New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Immersion) (Level 6)
Extending your Te Reo skills will help you understand and appreciate the significance of Te Reo in your workplace. The ability to listen, speak, and write Te Reo is a valuable skill that many employers seek and could open various employment opportunities in the public and private sectors.
