About the course
Take the first step into speaking Te Reo Māori.
This course is a great for beginners wishing to develop an introductory understanding of Te Reo Māori by introducing basic phrases, correct Te Reo pronunciation and an introduction to the Māori culture.
All students are welcomed into a fun, safe and comfortable environment where their confidence and love for Te Reo Māori can blossom.
You will learn:

how to introduce yourself

to confidently meet and greet others in Te Reo Maori

basic knowledge of Tikanga Māori (Māori practices and protocols)

Knowledge of vowels and correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori through games and songs.
Timetable
Whangārei:

Monday 5PM - 8PM; OR

Tuesday 5PM - 8PM; OR

Friday 9AM - 1PM
Kerikeri:

Wednesday 5PM - 7PM
Tutorial: 10am–12noon Friday
Online Component: 1–2 hours per week
Noho marae
There will be one Noho marae (6 PM Friday - Sunday 12 noon, 25–27 November 2022). Food is provided. Staying/sleeping overnight on the marae is optional.
