About the course

Pre-Apprenticeship Programme

This limited credit programme provides an introduction to marine, marina, or composite workplaces. The entry level unit standards assessed are intended to allow trainees decide if they wish to commit to a full apprenticeship. Trainees successfully achieving the required unit standards will be issued with a Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate by MAST Academy. Trainees successfully completing this programme within the expected time frame will be well placed to continue their training by registering for an apprenticeship. These are Core unit standards and all of the unit standards are included in MAST Academy apprenticeship programmes leading to New Zealand Certificates. Modules within this programme include: Workplace Health and Safety, You and Your Team, Your Calculations, and Sustainability.

  Entry Requirements

Legal eligibility to study in NZ (immigration status verified). Employed in an appropriate workplace. Minimum of 16 years of age. English language requirements.
