About the course

Qualification and programme overview This qualification is designed to provide the hearing therapy workforce with skills and knowledge in the application of aural rehabilitation practice. The programme includes developing and/or recognising the following competencies in your staff:

Measuring functional capability and assessing the physical and psychosocial impact of hearing impairment on a person’s life. Analysing assessment results in terms of the impact on the life of a person, to lead and coordinate the design, implementation and evaluation of an individual aural rehabilitation plan. Providing a specialist service that enables people with hearing impairment to manage the impact of that impairment. Being fully accountable for their own learning and professional practice in complex and dynamic contexts/systems to provide a constantly improving, customised outcome focused service.
