About the course

Graduates will have acquired the knowledge, skills and attributes needed for study at Level 3-4. This includes taking responsibility for their own learning; demonstrating academic skills; having an understanding of: physical activity and personal well-being; team sport in a competitive situation; basic knowledge of the human body and health risk factors; techniques for physical training; skills of t?waewae, t? r?kau and M?ori performing arts; Whakarite mihi ki te tangata (knowledge of mihimihi).

Entry requirements

Completion of 3 years secondary school & 12 or more credits at NCEA level 1 or equivalent NQF unit standards. Applicants who do not meet the above may be admitted if able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge,life skills,work experience or other formal or informal study.
