About the course
This qualification is for people currently employed as distribution line mechanics in the electricity supply industry. It is designed to provide the industry with people able to work with live lines using stick techniques in the distribution sector of the electricity supply industry.
Graduates will be able to work safely to industry standards, taking responsibility for their work and will be capable of working independently whilst ensuring public safety.
Entry requirements
You will need to be working in the electricity supply industry.
It is recommended you have been working on the job for
two years and have completed the New Zealand Certificate
in Electricity Supply (Line Mechanic Distribution) (Level 4)
with an optional strand in Live Low Voltage Lines.
