About the course
If you work in medical, dental or veterinary services, the New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4) will help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to support safe patient care through effective sterilisation practices.

Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of:
New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4)
Entry requirements
To be admitted to this course, applicants must meet the following general admission requirements:
- NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Māori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2, OR
- Have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3), OR
- Have 6 months of employment in a sterilisation services environment, OR
- Any Level 3 qualification (or higher) over 60 credits registered on the NZQA framework, or evidence that the enrolling student can be successful at Level 4 study
