CAD for Architectural Drawing 1

About the course

This course is designed to support the students who are enrolled in the New Zealand Diploma in Architectural Technology with the CAD skills required to complete that course.

CAD for Architectural Drawing 1 is project-based and runs alongside the diploma course, however it's also open to people from industry who wish to learn CAD skills.

The software we currently teach is ArchiCAD and once enrolled students have access to a free student software licence for the year (available for PC or MAC).

  • three dimensional modelling
  • navigate around the CAD programme
  • create 3D photographic renders
  • editing of 3D entities
  • use 2D tools to enhance drawings
  • editing of 2D entities
  • customise CAD settings to suit a specific project
  • use CAD image tools
  • make layouts and print/plot

Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of:
