About the course
If your goal is to work alongside and guide people as they build up their confidence and capability, this course is for you. It’s especially ideal if you’re aiming to work in a care role, or as a community support worker in the mental health or disability sectors, or as a volunteer.
Whānau ora places whānau/families at the centre of practice in health and social services, including human development, psychology and Māori approaches to wellbeing. Learning introductory Te Reo Māori is also part of the course.
If you’re keen to take your study further, you may be eligible to continue into the Bachelor of Social Work.
