Certificate for Health Care Assistants (Level 4)

Graduates will have gained skills and knowledge necessary to provide, competent and accountable care as a health care assistant when supporting clients in hospitals, residential care, retirement homes and other community based facilities. Graduates will have an opportunity to integrate theory and knowledge through completing a work experience placement within an extended care facility during their study.

Based in Hamilton, the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), is one of the country’s largest institutes of technology. We deliver high-quality education across vocational (technical) and professional fields of study to approximately 13,000 students, across over 130 different courses.
