About the course

Enjoy helping people? Study fees free and learn about working with a range of cultures and communities while working collaboratively and effectively in a team. Gain an understanding of financial documents and legislation. Learn basic skills in biology and chemistry for health sciences. Build foundation knowledge and prepare for further study at Level 3 or above.

This one semester programme will assist you to gain foundation language, literacy, numeracy, and generic skills in order to pursue education or employment pathways. Graduates can apply to enrol in the New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3) with the aim of studying towards a career in nursing, paramedic, midwifery, social work, or teaching.
