About the course
Ever feel like money controls your life? Do you wish you understood a bit more about wealth and debt, interest rates, insurances and investment? Can't quite come to grips with the basics?
Managing money is a life skill that most of us are never taught. Take control of your financial future for you and your whānau by learning about money, debt and how to create wealth.
Upon successful completion of this programme, you will receive the following qualification:
- NZ Certificate in Personal Financial Capability & Financial Services (Level 3).
You'll learn about:
- your current financial position
- your money habits and goals
- debt management
- how to create and protect wealth
- planning for retirement
- property investment.

Entry requirements
To enrol in this programme, a potential student must be:
- at least 16 years of age
- a New Zealand citizen (or citizen of Australia, Tokelau, Niue, Cook Islands) or permanent resident
- a graduate of a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or demonstrate numeracy and literacy competence
- fully committed to completing the programme and attend either (or both) an information session or enrolment interview.
*This course is not available to international students.
