When you pass this programme, you'll get this qualification:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3)
  • New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 4)

You'll learn about:

  • psychometric testing (verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning)
  • PAT - Physical Appraisal Test readiness (physical fitness)
  • literacy foundation assessment
  • communication and engagement for policing.

Entry requirements

To enrol in this programme, a potential student must:

  • be at least 16 years of age 
  • be a New Zealand citizen (or citizen of Australia, Tokelau, Niue, Cook Islands) or permanent resident 
  • attend an interview 
  • be aware of the entry requirements into the NZ Police.
