About the course

Addiction 101 is delivered as a one-day workshop or series of three interactive webinars. It equips participants to designed to increase awareness and reduce stigma associated with addiction – both at work and everyday life.

The learning outcomes for this workshop are:

  • Use Te Whare Tapa Whā to understand addiction and recovery
  • Recognise signs of addiction issues
  • Relate brain and body responses to addiction
  • Respond supportively to people experiencing addiction issues

Addiction 101 is free to attend. These are delivered all over New Zealand, and the webinar option means even the geographically isolated can participate.

About the provider

Blueprint for Learning is a large mental health and addiction training provider in New Zealand, dedicated to both workforce development and community training projects.  It is a NZQA accredited Private Training Establishment (PTE), rated by them as the highest quality Category 1 provider.  

It is primarily focussed on delivering MH101 to business and community audiences along with Leading Wellbeing at Work for workplace managers, Addiction 101 for community participants and a series of tailored workshops for businesses.  Many of these are free to attend, and can be accessed as one-day workshops or a series of short webinars.
