About the course
Transform your career and prepare to become a business leader in only 12 months with the globally respected Waikato MBM degree.
This one-year masters degree (180 points) provides a transformative business education that will take your career to new heights.
The Waikato MBM will give you an in-depth understanding of the fast-paced global business environment. It will also prepare you to take on a wide range of management and leadership roles in any industry.
This taught programme is designed for graduates of any bachelor's degree – from arts and engineering to teaching and social sciences – who wish to expand their career prospects and increase their earning potential. Previous business experience is not required.
Over 12 months, you'll hone your skills in all aspects of business and management: planning for strategic growth, marketing, digital business, economics, financial analysis, managing people in organisations, global business, supply chain management, design thinking and innovation, and sustainable and responsible management.
You'll also develop strong communication and problem-solving skills; gain the ability to undertake business research and analyse data, question ideas and findings; and build the confidence to lead teams and manage organisational change.
Entry requirements
- A bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) in any subject discipline, from an approved university
- Achieved a B-minus grade average or above in the final year of your degree.
Admission to this programme may be subject to the completion of any qualifying papers, or additional work may be required.
International students must have an equivalent qualification from a recognised university, and meet the English language requirements for postgraduate programmes.
You'll need to provide the following documents as part of your application process:
- A *verified copy* of your academic records
- A *verified copy* of your birth certificate; (or your passport and marriage certificate if you have changed your name)
- Evidence of English language proficiency if you have not studied in New Zealand before
- A photo of yourself (head and shoulders) saved as a jpeg image
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.
