About the course

Apply tidal, depth measurement, positioning, and oceanography to hydrographic surveying

contexts. Work safely and undertake and process survey measurement in the marine

environment. Apply effective communication for hydrographic surveying.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements. This programme is designed for people commencing their career in surveying, or who are working in the sector already and want the qualification to gain recognition for their skills.

Connexis arranges, delivers, supports, and assesses work-based learning for the infrastructure industries of Civil, Energy, Telecommunications, and Water. We are the infrastructure business division of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. Te Pūkenga is the new Crown entity established to unite Institutes of Technology, Polytechnics (ITPs) and Industry Training Organisations around the country into a unified national network as part of the Government’s Reform of Vocational Education.  It is creating a network of on-job, online and on-campus learning to give learners more flexibility in what, where and how they learn.
