Duration: 6 consecutive Fridays
*During the week of Easter Friday, the programme will run on Thursday 17 April 2025. During the week of ANZAC, the programme will run on Thursday 24 April 2025.

**During the week of Matariki Public Holiday this programme will instead run on Wednesday 18 June 2025.

The Electrical Appliance Serviceperson qualification (EAS) allows the holder to work on 250 volt plug-in appliances. The course meets the requirements of the theory and practical assessment component of the qualification. 

The types of work an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson is permitted to carry out are:

  • the maintenance of appliances that have an electrical rating of not more than 250 volts and are supplied by plug and flexible cord; and
  • the testing of work described above
  • the supervision of any work described above

How to Enrol
To apply for EAS complete the UCOL Enrolment Form and the EWRB Practical Application Form.
