New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4) (In-work)

Are you currently working with infants toddlers or young children but lack a formal Level 4 qualification? UCOL can assist you to achieve this.

UCOL's New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (In-work) is specifically designed for those already working with the Early Childhood Education and Care Sector.

This course is currently delivered through one night a week tutorials (2 hours approx.) and every 3rd Saturday (3 hours approx.)

NCEA Level 2;

OR

the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3)

OR

equivalent academic achievement on a case-by-case basis;

OR 

at the discretion of the Executive Dean.

In addition to the Domestic Entry Requirements, the following applies to international student applicants.

English Proficiency Entry Requirements
International student applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS (or equivalent, including TOEFL) score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5. IELTS scores used must be taken from a single IELTS Test Report Form (ie combining scores from more than one test is not permissible). UCOL is a TOEFL iBT testing centre. The English proficiency test is accepted for English language entry into all UCOL programmes.
