You will enhance your skills through a combination of block joinery courses at UCOL and practical components carried out at your workplace.

The compulsory section of this programme will teach you to operate and maintain a range of joinery machines to industry standards. The four different joinery strands will enable you to select standards that will help you specialise in areas that best fit your job and interests. You will also develop the literacy and numeracy skills relevant to the joinery industry.

After this programme, you will be able to work unsupervised in cabinetry, timber doors and windows, timber stairs or laminate fabrication to the level required of a certified craftsman.
