About the course
Outline
The overall aim of Land Based Sustainability Practices Level 3 is to provide the primary industry sector with graduates who are able to apply theoretical and practical knowledge of sustainable practices that focus on improving sustainability in our environment.
Graduate Profile
Graduates of this qualification will be able to identify and apply options for sustainability practices in a land based process or activity.
Course Content
Planting for insect and bird retention, pest plants and pest operations in New Zealand, water use and quality, riparian planting, environmental impact of agrichemical use, sustainable land management in New Zealand environment, society and economy.
Entry requirements
16 years of age or over
NZ citizen or permanent resident
Interest in the horticulture industry
