About the course
Outline
The programme is designed for people who wish to develop basic skills and knowledge in the civil construction (roading) industries. It will build general life, work, and study skills in a holistic learning and supportive environment.
Graduate Profile
Graduates will be ready to enter employment at a supervised level in the general field of civil construction, or to enter higher study in one of the fields covered in this programme, or in some other entry level programme. Graduates will gain NCEA level 2.
Course Content
Students will learn foundation knowledge and basic skills in safe working practices; use and maintenance of specified machinery and temporary traffic management control.
Entry requirements
17 years of age or over
NZ citizen or permanent resident
Must hold a restricted car licence
Interest in civil construction
