About the scholarship
A $3,500 Scholarship to assist a teacher who is a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident enrolled in a PGDipSci, MSc or MProfStuds in Mathematics Education.
The Scholarship was established in 2014 in recognition of the contribution made by Dr Judy Paterson to Mathematics Education and especially her work with secondary school mathematics teachers in the Auckland region.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support graduate level professional development for a teacher, preferably from a low decile school or kura, currently teaching in the wider Auckland region.

Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around six weeks after the closing date.

Entry requirements
To take up and be paid the Scholarship the candidate must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for a Postgraduate Diploma in Science or a Master of Science in Mathematics, or a Master of Professional Studies (Mathematics Education). The Scholarship is tenable by students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand
