About the course

At the completion of this programme graduates will be able to:
Recognise and examine the need for budgeting and other management control concepts with a heavy fabrication context.
Supervise workplace operations within a heavy fabrication context.
Explain fundamental concepts and principles of quality and its management within a heavy fabrication context.
Supervise the laying out and marking off of fabrication shapes.
Design and supervise forming and shaping of fabrication materials.
Supervise fabrication mechanical cutting operations.
Supervise assembly and mechanical joining of fabricated parts.
Produce detailed engineering drawings.
Assess a candidates performance using supplied assessment activities.
Carry out reflective practise on supervision activities.
