New Zealand Certificate in Fellmongery and Leather Processing

The purpose of this qualification is to provide competent employees for the fellmongery and leather processing sectors, who are able to work as experienced operators, under limited supervision, in a fellmongery and leather processing operation processing hides and skins.

The learner will benefit by having a qualification that will allow them to work competently as experienced operators in a fellmongery and leather processing operation.

This qualification will ensure the establishment of standards of competent performance in leather manufacturing and fellmongery operations that can provide domestic and international markets with confidence in a quality range of leather products.
