About the course

Graduates of this programme will have attained a professionally recognised degree in Social and Community Work that fosters the development of students as critical reflexive social work practitioners where professional values, knowledge and skills are accountable to user groups as well as to appropriate structures of governance. Graduates will be able to apply the Treaty of Waitangi in response to critical issues and problems facing the social work profession.

Entry requirements

A New Zealand university entrance qualification or equivalent. To proceed to the Second Stage students must complete the First Stage successfully and satisfy the requirements for registration as a social worker.
