About the course

The purpose of this qualification is to recognise the skills and knowledge of those working in customary fishing management. Holders of this qualification will be able to demonstrate a range of technical skills and knowledge, including customary fishing authorisation procedures, practices and management, and compliance and legislation. It also allows for some flexibility to recognise skills and knowledge in other seafood and Maori related topics.

This qualification builds on skills and knowledge from the National Certificate in Seafood Maori (Customary Fishing) (Level 3) [Ref: 1064].
