New Zealand Certificate in Security (Level 3)

This certificate gives students the core skills required for employment in the security industry so that they can begin their pathway towards a range of careers in the security services, armed forces, police, corrections department and more.

Students will learn both in the classroom and through practical and physical application. Personal appearance such as hair and general tidiness will be monitored in line with the security industry standards.

This certificate gives students the opportunity to gain credits towards NCEA Level 3. Plus, graduates of this course aged 18 and over will also be eligible to apply for their Certificate of Approval (COA), an essential requirement when working in the security industry in New Zealand. Successful graduates can move into employment in a range of security roles. This programme is also designed to provide a pathway for further training in the police or defence forces.
