The purpose of this qualification is to provide the energy and chemical plant industry with competent employees who have attained the operational skills and knowledge required to work as field operators.
This qualification is suitable for individuals working as field operators in an energy or chemical plant, or those wishing to enter the role. The qualification provides a credential that will support career opportunities for graduates in a range of energy or chemical plant contexts.
Graduates would have established standards of professional performance for the safe and efficient operation of an energy or chemical plant under broad guidance, carrying out a range of routine and non-routine tasks.
