About the course

This qualification recognises the skills and knowledge in veterinary technology required for a person to work as a member of a veterinary team providing technical support for a veterinarian.

Holders of this qualification are able to work unsupervised in the areas of specialist nursing, management of surgical equipment, client education or laboratory practices.

The elective section of the qualification allows recognition of a wide range of skills to reflect the wide range of workplace requirements.
