Certificate in Engineering

This certificate is designed as a pre-employment qualification for those seeking
employment in a variety of occupations in the engineering industry. The qualification
demands a level of performance that will enable new recruits to have a good range of skills
to work in maintenance and diagnostics, machinery and toolmaking, heavy fabrication, light
fabrication or welding fabrication. A majority of the unit standards achieved in this
programme contribute to an engineering apprenticeship.
