Course details

National Certificate in Rural Servicing (Livestock) (Level 4)
NZQF Level 4

About the course

This qualification is for people specialising as livestock agents in the rural servicing industry.

People will have the skills to procure, assess and classify livestock for sale; arrange for sale either privately or by auction; organise their transport to the sales venue; and document the transaction.

All unit standards in the qualification are compulsory because livestock buying and selling involves a set of well-defined skills and knowledge that apply across all rural servicing workplaces.

This qualification builds on the skills recognised by the National Certificate in Rural Servicing (Level 3) [Ref: 1254].

On completion of this qualification graduates may progress to other agriculture industry qualifications such as the National Certificate in Agribusiness Management (Agribusiness Resource Management) [Ref: 1187], National Certificate in Agribusiness Management (Business Planning and Financial Management) [Ref: 1186], or the National Diploma in Agribusiness Management [Ref: 0647].
